Hondaafushi Island Resort is full of greenery and nature. All our bungalows are fully detached and beach facing. Each bungalow offers lots of privacy for the guests.

Each bungalow has a terrace, day beds, flat-screen TV, tea / coffee maker and a private outdoor shower. We are also providing a mini-bar in the room with an all inclusive meal package.

Our restaurant offers international buffet meals and the Thila bar is by the swimming pool where you can enjoy a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

We are also providing a variety of professional diving courses through our joint partnership with Werner Lau and Divderland. At the spa you can get relaxing massages and other activities such as table tennis, beach volley and darts are also available.

You can also enjoy a variety of excursions including island hopping, dolphin watching, fishing and snorkelling trips.

The resort can be reached via 50 minutes of domestic flight from Velena International Airport to Hanimaadhoo Airport, followed by 10 minutes of speedboat.

We have daily multiple flights available with scheduled timing.

Please note that if the resort is not able to get transfer, guests will have to stay overnight in Male at their own cost.

Очень хороший вариант цена качество. Всё включено интересно будет всем, кто пьёт крепкие напитки, коктейли и пиво. Вино домашнее, из пакетиков. Шампанское никакое не входит. Кофе в номере и бар тоже во все включено не входит. На разницу в 50 долларов можно выбрать пару бутылок норманого вина. Или шампанское. Кухня вполне достойная. На обед и ужин делают барбекю мясо рыба морепродукты. Много кари, индийских блюд. Овощи и фрукты. Несколько вариантов десертов. Цены на алкоголь меньше чем в отелях 5. Вино и шампанское от 24 долларов. Вход в море идеальный. И глубина! По животу кораллы на царапают. Очень красивый бассейн, там же бар, там же закаты. Никаких детей, музыки, шума. Очень спокойный остров, с хорошей ценой и комфортом. Уборка номера, территории без нареканий. Виллы до номера 120 с идеальным большим пляжем. Но где-то 50-70 метров от моря. Виллы 120-125 очень приватные, до моря 5-10 метров.

Есть мошки, но кусают очень выборочно. Отпугивали желающих мазью типа звездочка.

Good for money

The staff was professional and very respectful. When we arrived at the reception, they were waiting for us with cold towels for us to chill after the hot ride. The restaurant’s food was very diverse and fresh. We had the best pineapple ever. Every night had a different theme of food at the restaurant, from Maldivian night to Italian night. There is a fish feeding every night at 19:30.

Hidden Gem!

Hoondafushi: We stayed at this lovely resort in August, just wanted to say thank you to everyone who was looking after us the whole time, as well as those people who we did not see but definitely could feel how much is being done daily on the island. We have visited Madives quite a few times before and stayed on very differently priced resorts, including local island and the premium end. Hoondafushi is very unique place as these days it is not that easy to find an island which offers a true maldivian experience yet has all the infrastructure the one may need during the "no shoes no news " type of holiday. The island: truly beautiful, nice lagoon, easy swimming pretty much anywhere ( we have tried different spots), nice soft sandy entrance ( we stayed in one of the bigger houses), nice depth if you are a confident swimmer, snorkelling - not a fish soup like in some other places but yes can be done on another side of the island ( the weather during our stay didn't allow us to snorkel as much as we normally do). Natural jungles with lots of pathes for walking - brilliant! Feels private, too. Very clean! The villa: spacious, nicely planned, unobstructed view, average privacy ( I mean the next door houses are not that far away and not fenced but thankfully it doesnt feel crowded). When we had any requests re: room minor issues - they were dealt with very quickly, no delays. Impressed! The staff : look happy, friendly, helpful, not intrusive or overly keen. The food: buffet - but that is what I prefer anyway. Longer than we are used to time between lunch and dinner but we got used to it with a bit of a change to our routine. Ala carte can be arranged in request I believe. Bar by the pool is quite pleasant as well, coctails are lovely.

The dream trip

It's tough to put down words to describe how magical was our stay at Hondaafushi Island Resort. We were there for our honeymoon and we enjoyed so much. The welcome was warm yet professional, the apartment on the beach was just amazing (the back door overlooking the sea was great, but we really enjoyed also the outdoor bathroom). The Tila Bar was perfect: staff, atmosphere, drinks, events organized in the evening like the karaoke or dance night. The restaurant was always perfect from brekfast to dinner: just great food and so many options! The excursions were also fun: we did the fishing and snorkeling. Can't wait to be back!

Amazing resort, exceptional staff. Dream holiday for us.

The resort really feels like a private island sometimes. The scenery is outstanding, the staff is (mostly) exceptionally friendly. We had issues when arriving and the staff went above and beyond to arrange us a transfer.

Mosquitos and sand flies. Stocking up on repellents and some soothing creams is essential. There's only a very basic shop on the island and it's somewhat overpriced. The gym equipment is somewhat old..

«Потрясающие воспоминания»

По прилёту на Мале нас проводили в лаундж для ожидания нашего рейса на Хондаафуши. Там были закуски, напитки, Wi-fi. Про отель. Особенно понравился подводный мир у длинного пирса. Рекомендую взять с собой маску с трубкой и ластами. В целом по отелю можно ходить босиком, везде мелкий песок, очень комфортно. Мы брали полный пансион (FB), есть как постоянные блюда так и новые каждый день. Останавливались на неделю, всегда было вкусно. У ресторана есть настольный теннис, играли с сыном почти каждый день. Потрясающие закаты у бассейна. Классный душ под открытым небом. Кстати ночное небо - это что-то невероятное.

Немного было неожиданно, что Букинг не предупредил о зелёном налоге, но он маленький. На территории острова есть несколько недостроенных бунгало, которые разрушаются. Меня покусали маскиты, надо было пользоваться репилентом.

ESTO FUE NUESTRO 13 VIAJE A MALDIVAS. ES ALGO DECEPCIONANTE O PEOR. EL DESAYUNO MAS UMILDE. HAN COBRADO MUCHO DINERO, PERO NO HABIA COMIDA. FALTABA PAN, MANTEQUILLA, FRUTAS, YOGURES, CARNE, PESCADO. SOLO TENIA CEREALES. LOS COCINEROS NO SABIAN COMO COCINAR. EL ARROZ PARECIA A PLASTILINA. DE FRUTAS TENIAN NARANJA Y SANDIA. PAN TENIAN 6 BOLLOS PARA 50 BUNGALOS. EL HOTEL ES MUY VIEJO. LOS BUNGALOS MEDIO DESTRUIDOS. FAUNA Y FLORA NO EXISTEN. PARECIA QUE HAN COMIDO A TODOS LOS PESES. SIEMPRE VIENTO. LA ISLA ESTA UBICADA MUY MAL. SOPLA VIENTO SIEMPRE. Island is incredible, I recommand it to anyone, really good experience

If you are sensitive to bugs, prepare yourself in advance, but it's normal to have bugs when there are as many plants

Although the food is plentiful and lots of choices not really a highlight but considering the logistics of supplies etc they certainly put a lot of effort.

Отель подходит для тихого и спокойного отдыха. Детей - единицы, так как совершенно нет никаких вечерних развлечений, нет никакой анимации. Это позволяет постоянно находиться в тишине и гармонии. Остров довольно большой. 1.5 часа пешком вокруг острова. Везде песок ,в том числе и на полу в ресторане, поэтому обувь можно спокойно не надевать, максимум обычные шлепки. Мы 2 недели ходили везде босиком. Для девушек - туфли, босоножки, вечерние платья, наряды и т.п. спокойно можно не брать - их просто некуда будет надеть. Максимум вечером в бар, но до него придется также идти по песку. На острове всего около 40 домиков, поэтому народу немного. Питание в принципе достойное. На завтрак готовят яичницу, жарят вафли, оладышки. Также имеется стандартный набор - хлопья, сосиски, бекон и т.п. На обед и ужин готовят на гриле рыбу, креветки, мясо, курицу. Плюс к этому есть гарниры и еще также в открывающихся лотках курица/рыба/мясо в соусах. Есть салаты. Каждый вечер дополнительно тематический вечер - мексиканский, итальянский, азиатский..... Фрукты - яблоки, апельсины, бананы, арбуз, папайя, ананс, маракуйя. Из-за того, что народу не очень много, разнообразия еды достаточно, но не как в больших отелях. В баре стандартный набор напитков - ром, виски, джин, водка, вино, пиво, мартини, соки - входит в систему все вкл. Из этого набора можно попросить сделать любой коктейль. Снорклинг возможен с пирса - довольно много разной рыбы, иногда можно увидеть черепах, скатов, но не всегда. Трансфер - местные авиалинии меняют расписание каждый день. Под прилет в Мале в районе 9-10 утра всегда есть рейс прямой (на момент написания отзыва) в районе 12.30, ожидание недолгое плюс отель предоставляет бесплатно ожидание в зале повышенного комфорта с закусками и напитками (безалкогольными). Но это только по дороге на остров. На обратном пути такого нет. Трансфер обратно сложнее, под вылет с Мале в 15 иногда забирают в 3 ночи, иногда в 8.30 утра. Под вылет в 11 утра из Мале забирают в 3 ночи.

К сожалению при всех вышеупомянутых плюсах есть один большой минус - МОШКА. Мы брали фумигаторы, пластины, аэрозоли - не помогает, ну или почти не помогает. Нам дали туристы из Германии аэрозоль от тропической мошки - работает, но у нас такой не купишь. Супругу кусали несколько раз в день. На следующий день появляются красные волдыри, которые дико чешутся. После аэрозоля из Германии ситуация значительно улучшилась. Меня не кусали. Аналогичная ситуация с другими туристами - наверно зависит от группы крови/резуса. Остается только догадываться. В отеле каждый вечер обработка от насекомых, но не очень помогает.

A realy good place to stay but with some disadvantages

- The staff is very friendly and also sincere. Whether it is about the waiters or the one who cleans the house every morning. In our case it was Nahasin from Bangladesh. - the buggy service is very pleasant but can sometimes be a bit more reliable. Houses 120 to 125 are highly recommended. Most privacy and the fastest on the beach (about 8 meters) We were there for 9 days and we completely relaxed, also because the guests were very pleasant and did not act arrogantly as we experienced a year ago at Innahura.

- We missed 2 (comfortable) chairs outside. We do have 2 comfortable beds. - The hinges and locks either work very badly or not at all. For example, the door to the sanitary area. We did point it out to them. But they didn't have a carpenter! The island is far away, which means that you do not have to take a seaplane but a 50-minute domestic flight with a stopover to the neighboring island and from there a speedboat. The latter takes another 10 to 30 minutes depending on the weather. Our flight from Malé left at 9.30 AM but that meant that we left at 4 PM by speedboat. The house reef is not accessible from the beach because of the distance and especially the current. We really thought that was a shame. The offered 2-hour trip for snorkeling was also nothing, because there was hardly any coral and certainly no fish!!!
